I started my career in Building Control with Birmingham City Council, working on their major projects team, this is where I first found an interest in the theoretical and practical aspects of fire safety within Buildings, working on landmark projects within the city. I have since worked within the private sector and then founded and run a successful consultancy.

I have worked alongside Semper on a number of projects as a Regulator and I really enjoyed their unique approach and the engineers I worked with. When the opportunity arose to work with Semper it really peaked my interests, after discussing the direction the company is going in and how I fitted in to it, I knew that Semper will be leading fire safety into the future and knew I wanted to be a part of that.

My biggest achievement professionally to date would be setting up and running my own Building Consultancy.

I would love to work on fire safety upgrades throughout a building such as the Vatican, where unique approaches would have to be used with cutting edge products in order to achieve the required results, whilst still maintaining the buildings natural architectural beauty.
